Engine counts describe a national project. A local project runs ChatGPT plus Google’s AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini; Claude and Perplexity have no location signal to read, so they don’t run. Grid tracking is on every paid plan. A gridded prompt costs more than one, because it runs at every point: a 3 × 3 counts as four tracked prompts and a 5 × 5 as twelve.
1,000+ prompts, custom project volume, daily update schedules, custom data retention, BYO-key with AWS KMS, and dedicated Slack access.
A 15-prompt panel is a vibe check, not measurement.
AI answers change from run to run. On a small panel, a “20% visibility jump” is usually model noise — not your content working. That's why Cite sizes plans around statistical thresholds: 30 prompts for a branded baseline, 80+ for a solid visibility baseline, and 100+ for competitive share-of-voice you can act on. Weekly re-runs on a big panel beat daily snapshots of a tiny one.

Common questions
How many prompts do I actually need?
A panel is the set of prompts you track. AI answers vary run to run, so small panels are mostly noise: a panel under 50 prompts is a branded baseline — it tells you reliably whether engines know who you are, which is what Starter and Growth are sized for. 50+ gives a solid visibility baseline, and 100+ is what we recommend before reading competitive share of voice as a trend
How do local markets affect the count?
Each prompt targets one market, so the same question tracked in three cities is three prompts. If you also grid a prompt it costs more than one — see below. A single-location business sizes off the thresholds above; a business serving several metros should multiply by the number of markets it wants measured separately. If you only care about the national picture, leave the market off and one prompt covers it.
What does grid tracking cost against my plan?
Grid tracking measures one question at every point of a grid across your market, which is how you see where you are named and where you are not. It really is more measurements, so a 3 × 3 counts as four tracked prompts and a 5 × 5 as twelve. That is Starter 2 gridded 5 × 5 maps, or 7 at 3 × 3; Growth 6 gridded 5 × 5 maps, or 20 at 3 × 3; Pro 12 gridded 5 × 5 maps, or 37 at 3 × 3; Agency 41 gridded 5 × 5 maps, or 125 at 3 × 3. It is included on every paid plan.
How often do you re-run my prompts?
Every week, across all engines. Weekly cadence is deliberate: it keeps large panels affordable, and week-over-week trends on a big panel are far more reliable than daily snapshots of a small one.
Which AI engines are included?
All plans track ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Google Gemini, Perplexity, plus Google AI Overviews and AI Mode results. There are no per-engine add-ons.
